Efficacy of Doula Interventions on Birth Outcomes
Doula Care Across the Maternity Care Continuum and Impact on Maternal Health: Evaluation of Doula Programs Across Three States Using Propensity Score Matching
A retrospective cohort study used a sample size of 340,010 expectant mothers. Women who received doula care had 52.9% lower odds of cesarean delivery and 57.5% lower odds of postpartum depression/postpartum anxiety. (Falconi, 2022).

The possibility of such instinctive birthing raises intriguing philosophical questions about the limits of human knowledge and the power of embodied experience.
